James got contacts!!

Trudy Makin Lewis 10:56pm May 9 James was fit for a contact lens today. His eye will never look like it did, but they will do a match to the other eye's color and do the best they can to make it look as close as they can. He will see 20/80 in that eye. We see the Dr. about the eyelid on Wed. and feel blessed for the expertise of great Dr.s. Miracles happen!

James is healing well. It's been 3 months, got released from orthopedics. No more blood thinner shots and down to 2 eye drops. He is amazingly well and closer to going back to school. Whoo Hoo!

went to see the orthopedic surgeon today. His pelvic fractures are completely healed and his leg is 99.9% healed. Next appointment: May. Ye-ah!

 

 

James' eyesight is doing well

Saw the eye Dr. today... WE GET TWO WHOLE WEEKS... 14 DAYS BEFORE WE SEE THE EYE DR. again! Nothing personal Dr. Zabriski! We are so excited to say that he is doing well! And his eye is getting better each week! The pressure is down where it's healthy and with a random lens in front of his eye he could see across the room. We are so ecstatic!

James passed the sacrament today only 71/2 weeks after the accident. He looked amazing in his white shirt and his dad's favorite tie. I just kept looking at him feeling so grateful for the miracle that it is that he is alive.

No more crutches or braces! Woo hoo!

No more crutches, No more Brace! Woo Hoo! Now starts the physical therapy. Two good news days in a row! I feel so blessed and so grateful, almost giddy!

Just to let you all know we got good reports at the eye Dr. and from the neurosurgeon also today! He's on the mend and the eye pressure is where it's supposed to be. It was a good news day! We'll see what the orthopedic surgeon says tomorrow. The little bum has been walking without his crutches. So hopefully he gets the okay to get rid of the crutches all together tomorrow. We'll see...

James' surgery just got done. It went really well, thanks for all your prayers. We love you!

 

they removed his lens, worked on the cataract, cleaned out all the 'gunk' and put a drainage tube in to stabilize the pressure. This was the first in a series of surgeries

Went to the eye Dr. today. Pressure is not critical, but is not going down. Dr.s are making plans for surgery not this week,but next. We don't have to see eye Dr. till next Tues. but have a procedure tomorrow at Primary Children"s Hospital. Thanks for the 4x4 ride Brent!

The procedure went well today. They said it went "exactly as it should have" The surgery was from 2-4 and then four hours in recovery. He should be out within the next half hour. Thanks for everyone's prayers!

just transfered my USU "Logan Main Campus" schedule to USU "Distance Learning" schedule ... no worries everyone I AM STAYING IN SCHOOL, still at USU just not in Logan :(
